Location at the tram line to Edinburgh saves a lot of car parking angst. Location near the Royal Yacht Britannia was also an easy walk, and a very enjoyable experience. This is a busy Holiday Inn some days, but the Staff cater well for the guests at Breakfast and otherwise. I booked a king size bed and we had a lovely room looking to the port. Window could be opened too, to air the room. We had to repack after 6 weeks travelling, to return to Australia, and the room gave us ample space for that too. The 24 hour coffee etc machine in the Breakfast Room is very handy for that cuppa! The Hotel also let me use my Disability Pass from Oz (like local Blue Card) to park free in their car park the days and nights we stayed.

location was great, better than we expected, we found out that we were right on the doorstep for our visit to the royal yacht Britannia ( just a short walk from the hotel) that was great, the hotel was well placed for Bus and Tram routes with both the Bus and Tram stops/station outside the front door of the hotel, the hotel room was very comfortable and clean, and Breakfast was all you could wish for with a vast variation of food to choose from.

This is avery functional hotel and all the better for that-it meets all your needs and has been well planned and is well run. I was a bit unsure about the parking cost but the reception staff were really helpful and made it very clear what I needed to do for reasonable onsite parking. The rooms are very clean and well organised. We were next to a lift but heard no noise at all. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but avoid the busiest time. It is very well locasted to explore the very lively Leith but easy to get into Edinburgh but also out onot the main roads.

The accom was in a good location for going to the HMS Royal Britannia and the local shopping centre. The tram stop was just across the road from the hotel - which made getting into central Edinburgh convenient. Parking available on site for 10 GBP per night (watch where you park though - we got a chip on one of our car doors... not the hotels fault!) The room was comfortable with the requested cot available in the room on our arrival.

We enjoyed our two day stay at this hotel. The room was perfect for our needs and spotless clean with good facilities. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the fact that you could open the windows for fresh air. Parking on site was very easy to organise and we had the option of the tram, local buses or the hop on hop off bus to go into central Edinburgh. A very convenient location , also close to shops and within walking distance of some good restaurants. The staff were always helpful and courteous. The breakfast had a good selection of options and everything was lovely.

The hotel met our expectations for a Holiday Inn Express. Comfy beds and good breakfast options. The personnel was helpful and accommodating, they gave us recommendations for free parking in the area. Although it's rather far from the center of Edinburgh, the hotel is very close to several buses and tramway lines that drive through the city center, so it wasn't an issue at all. It also gave us an opportunity to discover Leith and the Shore area, which we might not have seen if we'd stayed closer to the center. Beautiful area with a relaxed feel, ideal for drinks, dinner and brunches.

Actually, the main asset of this hotel is its location. Public transport is nearby and easy: tram stop Ocean Terminal is just nextdoor. We came directly from the airport by tram, no changes at all. Several bus lines serving Edinburgh city center have a stop on the other side of the hotel. Right nextdoor as well. We came late home from the Tattoo and could easily get back to the hotel by tram, even very late. Otherwise there's another bus stop served by night bus a stroll away. The parking lot looks nice. 10 Pounds a day. The room was large enough and clean. Excellent bed / sheets. AC worked well. Good TV set / remote / channels. Other advantage: this place is rather easy to reach by car, compared with Edinburgh center which can get very busy and congested. Holiday Inn is located outside of the "chaos" and public transport does the rest!

Having stayed with you before in several other locations we knew what to expect and as usual it was excellent. Staff are always professional, friendly and very presentable. Room facilities were perfect and the beds were really comfortable. Love that you offer to supply toothpaste /brushes etc if guest forget to bring them. Lovely touch. We would definitely recommend staying with you.

I was given a ground floor room which was normally set up for disabled access. I am not disabled but appreciated the space . The room was clean and well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Parking was simple and efficient with a pay point located in the lobby and very helpful staff. The hotel is well situated with convenient public transport links on your door step as well as nice restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Overall it was very well suited for my needs and I would certainly use this venue when visiting Edinburgh in future.
